The Sydney Metro City and Southwest project will extend the Metro North West line from Chatswood to Bankstown via the Sydney CBD. The project will convert the T3 Bankstown Line between Sydenham and Bankstown with new signalling and infrastructure. After conversion the T3 Bankstown Line will be fully segregated from the existing Sydney Trains Network and deliver services every four minutes in the peak. Interchange opportunities between Sydney Metro and Sydney Trains services will be provided on the network at Sydenham and Bankstown with improvements to way-finding at both locations.
