Project Description
Crows Nest Station is an underground station which is one of the 18 stations forming the Sydney Metro City & Southwest project (Operational by 2024). The station consists of two station entrances, retail spaces, public domain works, pedestrian crossing, bike parking, kiss and ride, pedestrian crossing including the provision for Over Station Development (OSD).
Scope of Engagement
Axess Advisory was engaged by SMEC to provide systems engineering and requirements management support to the Crows Nest Station development. The scope of the work included:

Management and configuration of requirements for concept and detailed design stage;

Verification and validation (V&V) of requirements across the detailed design and AFC project lifecycle stages;

Traceability of safety requirements to the Hazard Log;

Resolution of interfacing requirements across interdisciplinary engineering divisions for the station box, architecture, structural, mechanical, electrical, hydraulics, civils, and internal fit-out;

Reconfiguration of DOORS database to support project reporting requirements; and
-
Network Assurance Committee gate support.
